1. NEW STAFF:

We would like to introduce ourselves:
The SALTO Inclusion Resource Centre has become a 'true resource centre'.
Therefore the Inclusion staff has increased, which means two new persons
have joined Tony Geudens in the SALTO Inclusion work.

Let's present ourselves:
*Ann Hendriks:
the smallest of the three musketeers, age 36. She works part time for the
SALTO RC on Inclusion but also part time for action 3 group initiatives.
Before Ann joined SALTO she was responsible for Group Exchanges, Group
Initiatives and inclusion in the Flemish National Angency (YOUTH
Programme). Her task will mainly focus on the training courses, the
inclusion content of the RC. You can contact her on the following email
address: inclusion@salto-youth.net.
*Tine Van Roy:
steady as a rock, age 26. Her work will mainly focus on the logistics for
the inclusion training courses and the SALTO newsletter. She's available on
tcinclusion@saltoyouth.net
*And of course Tony Geudens:
well known and working for SALTO from the very first beginning. He will be
mainly responsible for the inclusion training courses, and the trainers
online for YOUTH (TOY), and some inclusion work. He's to contact at
toy@salto-youth.net.

3. NEW TOOLS IN TOOLBOX

Two new 'inclusion tools' are added into the SALTO toolbox.

*A report from "PUZZLED 2003" a training course on short term EVS with the
aim to stimulate the participation of young people with fewer opportunities
into the European Voluntary Service of the YOUTH programme. A second aim
of this training is to use the concept of short term EVS as a regular
method in the own organisation and as a step in a larger path way with the
youngster, but also to build quality projects based on strong and trustful
partnerships.
More information on http://salto-youth.net/find-a-tool/263.html.

*The "SUMMER TANDEM 2003" is an example of good practice and is initiated
by national agencies of the YOUTH Programme. The starting point is to link
a short term EVS volunteer to a running long term EVS hosting project. The
practical set-up of this project is divided into different steps in order
to maximise an outcome in projects and volunteers with positive
experiences.
